The spell bound silence of the environment broken by the chirping birds. The taste of traditional food prepared by the local forest villagers. The sound of beating drums and folk dance of the tribals will take you back to ancient life and culture. The Tent...

Gorumara tent is a recent introduction to the eco-tourism map of the Dooars. The tent is open to students, naturalists, and those who wish to relax in the midst of the nature. The tent is situated on the banks of the Murti river which flows through the Gorumara National Park. The tent is accessible by wild animals and hence is protected by energized fencing. The Gorumara tents provide an excellent opportunity to students to learn about the forests of Dooars, Indian Wildlife and North Bengal culture. “Without knowing it, we utilize hundreds of products each day that owe their origin to wild animals and plants. Indeed our welfare is intimately tied up with the welfare of Wildlife. Well may conservationists proclaim that by saving the lives of wild species, we may be saving our own.” - Normay Myers, 1983
